We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team and lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure using AWS technologies. This role is ideal for someone passionate about data architecture, cloud engineering, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Location: 100% remote. Working hours are based on US Central or Eastern Time Zone.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS services (e.g., Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, EMR).
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver clean, reliable, and well-structured data.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of data workflows and storage.
- Ensure data security and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to best practices in data engineering.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software development with a focus on data systems.
- Strong proficiency in AWS data services (e.g., Glue, Redshift, S3, Athena, Lambda).
- Solid programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and ETL design.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, or other big data technologies.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools.
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and MLOps.
- Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty).
- Experience working in agile environments and cross-functional teams.
