General Program Information

What is a referral?

Recommending someone you personally know and believe would be a good fit for Abstra.

Who can participate?

Only Phase 1 invited team members.

Which roles are eligible?

Eligible positions for Phase 1 will be communicated directly by email to the team members invited to participate. Eligible job posting will be published on Abstra’s careers page.

How can I refer someone?
Fill our Referral Form.  There you can enter your referral’s information or copy your unique referral link and share it with multiple people at once.

Referral Requirements & Process

What steps must be completed?
Both steps within 7 days:

  1. Submit the Internal Referral Form.
  2. Candidate applies and lists your name on “Who referred you to this position”field?
What happens if one step is missing?

The referral is invalid.

What if the candidate forgets to mention me?

The referral does not count.

Who cannot be referred?
Candidates who:

  • Applied/interviewed in past 6 months
  • Were previously referred in past 6 months
  • Are in an active hiring process
  • Don’t complete their application
    Can I submit multiple referrals?

    Yes.

    Can two employees refer the same candidate?
    The referral goes to whoever submitted the internal form first and is listed in the candidate’s application.
    What if the candidate joins a different role than the one I referred them for?
    Your referral still counts if the hire happens within 180 days.
    How long is my referral valid?
    Referrals are valid for 180 days (6 months) from the Referral Date, as long as both steps were completed in the required timeframe.
    What happens if I submit incorrect or incomplete information?
    Incorrect or incomplete information may invalidate the referral and may disqualify eligibility for the award.

    Awards & Payments

    What is the award?

    USD 500 per successful hire.

    When do I get paid?

    Within 45 days after the candidate completes 90 days through standard payroll or another method determined by Abstra.

    Do taxes apply?
    Yes. Abstra may withhold taxes as required.
    What does “good standing” mean?
    No performance concerns, no client request to remove the person, and no internal request to terminate.

    Status & Communication

    How will I know the status?

    Incorrect or incomplete information may invalidate the referral and may disqualify eligibility for the award.

    Can I follow up directly with Talent on my referral?
    Please avoid following up directly unless requested. Talent will contact you if clarification is needed.
    How will I know if my referee is moving forward in the process?
    Talent will notify referrers only when:

    • The referee is hired, or
    • There is clarification needed

    For privacy reasons, Talent cannot share full recruitment progress details.

    Can a referral be transferred to another employee?
    No. The referral always belongs to the employee who submitted the Internal Referral Form linked to the referee’s application.
