Job Description

As the Senior Microsoft Power BI Consultant, you will transform business requirements to develop and maintain scalable solutions. You will also need to demonstrate flexibility in your responsibilities to adapt to the evolving needs of our key data services.

Key Responsibilities, Role Experience, and Soft Skills

• At least 8 years of recent business consulting experience.
• Proven track record of successful Power BI implementations, preferably including embedded solutions.
• Project management experience: full project lifecycle, from design to implementation and support; requirements gathering and scope definition.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and lead technical implementations.
• Understanding of business intelligence concepts and their application in various industries.
• Portfolio demonstrating complex dashboard projects and data model optimizations.
• Background in data-driven decision-making and analytics strategy.
• Entrepreneurial-minded with grit and forward thinking who can work autonomously.
• Ability to work directly with clients to deliver data solutions to meet their business needs.
• Develop and design solutions leveraging Power BI and the Power Platform.
• Capture requirements, plan, and autonomously manage projects.
• Build strong working relationships with clients and assist with account management.
• Support sales pursuits and firm-building efforts.

Required Technical Experience and Qualifications

• Seasoned professional with 10 years minimum of advanced experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation, report development, and data modeling.
• Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M language for complex calculations and data transformations.
• Strong knowledge of Power Query for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database systems.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Services, including Data Pipelines and Data Factory.
• Experience with large-scale datasets and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in data visualization techniques and best practices.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms.
• United States of America Visa. If you do not have one currently, you must be willing to participate in our process to get one, as this role does involve some travel.

• Power BI Embedded Specific Skills.
• In-depth understanding of Power BI Embedded architecture and implementation.
• Experience with Power BI Embedded API and SDK.
• Knowledge of multi-tenant support in Power BI Embedded solutions.
• Familiarity with Power BI Embedded pricing models and capacity planning.
• Understanding of Power BI Embedded security features and best practices.
• Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate; Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate; Relevant Azure or Power Platform certifications
