We are seeking proactive and dedicated Medical Billers to join our team to efficiently manage Revenue Cycle Management processes, ensuring accurate billing and timely payments for healthcare providers’ services.

Location: Remote. Working Hours are based on the US Central Time Zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately apply payments, adjustments, and denials from insurance companies, government payers, and patients to the correct accounts in the billing system.
  • Compile information from patient records, physician notes, and medical codes provided by medical coders.
  • Create accurate insurance claims using billing software.
  • Verify patients’ insurance coverage and benefits.
  • Match payments received to patient accounts and ensure proper allocation. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between payments and billing records.
  • Update patient accounts with accurate payment information, including patient responsibility, insurance payments, and other aReview denied or underpaid claims.Identify and address issues that led to the denial (e.g., incorrect coding, missing documentation).
  • Generate patient bills for any amounts not covered by insurance, including co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all billing regulations, including HIPAA and CMS, and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven professional experience in roles related to Payment Posting, Claim Preparation and Submission, Preauthorization, and Denials for the US Healthcare System.
  • Knowledge about EHRs, HIPAA, CMS, Medical terminology.
  • English Proficiency.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Can work under a tolerable amount of pressure.
  • Adaptability to new workflows and procedures.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Organized, knows how to prioritize and multitask.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Results oriented. Self-motivated.

Nice to Haves:

  • Knowledge of softwares like eCW, and Nextiva.
  • Experience in specialities like: orthopedics, vascular and vein health, spine and pain management, sports medicine, and general surgery.
