We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Jira Administrator to join our growing team. In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our Jira and Jira Service Management instances. You will work closely with internal IT teams and external teams/customers to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our Jira environment.
Location: Remote. Working hours are based in the US Central Time Zone.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration & Maintenance:
○ Configure and maintain Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, automation, and custom fields to meet business requirements.
○ Manage user accounts, groups, and project roles.
○ Monitor Jira performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
○ Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures.
○ Implement and maintain Jira integrations with other tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.). - Customer Support:
○ Provide technical support to internal and external customers on Jira usage and best practices.
○ Troubleshoot and resolve Jira-related issues for users.
○ Conduct training sessions and create documentation to educate users on Jira functionalities.
○ Gather and analyze user feedback to improve Jira workflows and processes. - Project Collaboration:
○ Collaborate with internal IT teams on system upgrades, migrations, and other technical projects.
○ Participate in project planning, requirements gathering, and implementation to ensure Jira effectively supports project goals.
○ Contribute to the development and improvement of Jira best practices and standards within the organization. - Security & Compliance:
○ Ensure Jira is configured and maintained in compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
○ Implement and maintain appropriate access controls and security measures.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Jira Administrator.
- Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, and custom fields.
- Experience with Jira integrations with other tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience migrating from Monday to Jira is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
- Jira certifications are a plus.
