We seek a highly skilled Senior Backend/Data Infrastructure Engineer to design and maintain scalable cloud architectures, develop CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models, and build robust backend systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS, Docker, Python, and database management, as well as a strong background in data engineering and API security.

Location: 100% Remote. Working hours based on US Pacific Time Zone.

Job Description:

Core Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for machine learning model deployment.
• Build scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices.
• Leverage Docker and container orchestration platforms (e.g., AWS ECS).
• Construct and manage ETL pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy machine learning models into production.
• Set up systems for continuous monitoring and performance tracking of models.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with AWS services (API Gateway, S3, ECS).
• Experience with Docker and Linux containers.
• Strong background in database management, specifically DynamoDB.
• Expertise in Python and frameworks like FastAPI.
• Familiarity with asynchronous web frameworks.
• Experience in API integration and security, including token management and Cognito.
• Knowledge of Terraform and CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of workflow or data ingestion tools (e.g., Step Functions, Airflow).
• Experience with ChatGPT or prompt engineering is a plus.
• Background in data engineering.

Working Hours:

• Must be online from 8 AM – 2 PM Pacific Time, Monday to Friday.
