Job Description:

Key responsibilities and tasks:

• Design and execute manual test cases for functional, exploratory, regression, and integration testing.
• Review user stories and acceptance criteria to design and document manual test cases.
• Execute sanity, smoke, and regression tests across designated functional areas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile ceremonies to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Review user stories for testability and provide feedback to improve quality early in the development cycle.
• Log and track defects using tools like Jira or TFS.
• Support UAT and production deployments.
• Create and maintain test documentation and metrics.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure smooth CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps.
• Share QA best practices and knowledge with team members when needed.
• Contribute to light automation tasks and explore opportunities to improve test efficiency.
• Stay current with QA trends, tools, and techniques.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on manual/functional testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and QA best practices.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL (CRUD operations, joins).
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• An analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman, SOAP UI).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

Nice-to-have:

• Basic understanding of performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Exposure to automation frameworks or scripting (e.g., Playwright).
• Experience with mobile app testing.
• ISTQB or CAST certification.
• Experience in the educational industry or in AI development of products/platforms.
• Stay up to date with QA trends and tools, including generative AI applications for testing.
